Living in Colorado, I started snowmobiling when I was 5 years old on a 1994 480 Yamaha Phazer. With this sled, I started to learn the basics of backcountry snowmobiling. After a few years, I upgraded to a 2006 600 Skidoo. This allowed me to push my limits in the trees and hillclimbs. My confidence grew as my skills continued to progress. I also started making trips up to Wyoming to get a better understanding of the industry and the riders in it. Each time I got out onthat sled, I fell more in love with the sport. Up until this last season, I was on a 2014 Skidoo Summit X 163”. This is the sled that truly allowed me to improve my side hill technique and allowed me to take technical lines through steep trees, play in creek bottoms, and hit natural jumps.
For the 2019-2020 season, I will be riding a 2020 Skidoo Summit Expert 154”. I continuously strive to learn more about technical mountain riding and improve my skills. I love riding with different groups and watching the different techniques that are being implemented. I ride in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. One of my favorite things about the sport is accessing terrainthat many people don’t get to see in their entire lives. I am so lucky to be able to do something I love and have companies like Sledders R Us and my other sponsors support me!
Right now, I have one more semester at the University of Colorado Boulder. I’m majoring in Business Management and Entrepreneurship in hopes of owning and operating a snowmobile lodge to share my love for the sport with new and experienced riders. After graduation, I will be moving to Bozeman, Montana to explore the Big Sky and West Yellowstone areas and to hopefully start my career in the snowmobiling industry.
