Hello, my name is Chris Courtwright.
43 years of age. Married, have 3 daughters and 3 step-daughters.
I first got started riding snowmobiles when my Dad came home one day from work with an old 1973 Arctic Cat Panther in the back of his pickup truck. I was about 12 years old at the time and my eyes literally lit up like Christmas morning!
I rode that sled for years and years until it just wouldn’t run any more. I then purchased my very first sled, a 1995 Polaris XLT in 2002. I recall going on my first major ride to the Tug Hill Plateau region in New York State. It was such a rush, I didn’t ever want Winter to end!
I was definitely HOOKED for life on a snowmobile. I then would upgrade every other year or so, nothing brand new, but new to me. AND they were paid for ;-)
A few years back I linked up with another local rider in my area and the friendship is now strong as ever as he is one of my best friends. The connection of a snowmobile to build long lasting friendships is outstanding!!
I now currently ride a 2012 Arctic Cat XF 800 High Country and am very excited to get that sled out on to the snowy trails this Winter. There’s no other feeling than starting your snowmobile in the early hours of a nice sunny, Wintery day and riding for miles on end.
